1. Open the hood of your vehicle and identify where the battery is.
2. Connect the red clamp to the (+) post on the dead battery and the matching end of the red clamp to the (+) post on the functioning battery.
3. Next, connect the black clamp to the (-) post on the functioning battery and the matching end of the black clamp to a piece of the vehicle`s frame on the dead battery (to ensure a safer jump).
